What are your fees?
Remember you get what you pay for. As you weigh the cost of counseling, therapy, or personal coaching, it is important to consider the life goals you have not yet reached. The goals as they relate to your personal life, work, your relationships, or simply the day-to-day quality of your life. Because counseling, therapy or coaching can help you make choices that will affect your entire future, it might be thought of as an investment in yourself.
The positive effects of therapy and coaching can last a lifetime. Only you can decide whether the potential gains will compensate for your investment in money and time.
General fees for therapy/counseling/coaching are $90.00 per 50 minute session. (Sliding Scale Fees available upon demonstrated need.)
Group session fees will vary as therapy and /or coaching groups are available.
What is the difference between counseling and coaching?
While there are some similarities between life coaching and psychotherapy, they are different. Coaching focuses on creating a new life path in order to achieve goals, whereas psychotherapy sometimes looks into emotional resolutions to past problems in order to move forward.
In general, if you only want to focus on what you are dealing with right now, don’t want someone to ask you anything too personal, want help making action steps, and/or the area of life you are most concerned about is your career, coaching might be a good choice.
If you are curious about breaking patterns of thinking and acting that have been plaguing your life for some time, want to feel understood at last, would like to raise your self-esteem and understand yourself, and want to figure out what you want in life and move towards it, counseling might be a good choice.
How long does each therapy session take?
Session length is a standard therapeutic hour - 50 minutes.
Do you work with children or teens?
The overall answer is yes. We have extensive experience working with children and teens; however, due to the nature of online sessions the children need to be old enough and mature enough to handle working with me through that medium. Usually, children aged 10 and up are able to manage video conferencing.
